Sun City West Clay Club “Pot Party”

Since its beginnings in 1984 at the Beardsley Rec Center in Sun City, the Sun City West Clay Club has grown to over 250 members. The original meetings consisted of sharing knowledge about creating clay pottery, throwing on the wheel and handbuilding. Today, the club offers many types of classes and workshops which also includes sculpture, coiling, raku and special interest topics, and each year, the Sun City West Clay Club hosts the annual “Pot Party” for pottery enthusiasts.

Taking place on January 30th of this year, the 10th Annual “Pot Party” will once again be held at the Beardsley Recreation Center, and will feature more than 50 local potters. Attendees will have a chance to peruse and purchase unique hand-built and wheel-thrown pottery pieces. This is a free event that’s open to the public and runs from 8 am-2 pm.
